Campaign Summary

The Subaru Love Promise is a promise Subaru retailers make to give back to their local communities. In practice, the initiative reflects many of the automaker’s core values and became the subject of a series of Brand Soundscapes audio pieces formatted to run across NPR podcasts.

NPM Creative interviewed Tucson Subaru retailer Rocky DiChristofano and a manager from Youth On Their Own, a local organization that with the help of Rocky’s dealership, supports homeless youth as they navigate high school and graduation. In audio that ran as midrolls in Hidden Brain, Fresh Air, CarTalk, Storycorps, TED Radio Hour and Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!, the pair discuss their partnership and how Subaru’s Love Promise goes deeper than financial support.

Brand Soundscapes are just the latest collaboration between Subaru and NPM Creative. Subaru has also recently worked with the NPM Creative team to develop custom sponsorships highlighting Subaru’s support of NPR’s National Parks Centennial coverage and the long-running public radio series, Storycorps.
